He made a vow and went to the front lines to fight the enemy: the Shinsengumi. Here, he faced dilemmas over life and death, friend and foe, and gratitude and vengeance. Things that had never been allowed on the scales now had to be placed there by his own hand. How should he choose? Which would be his final home: his origins, or the people who had accompanied him all along?

1. I'll try to stay true to history, but this isn't real history. It's a novel.
