(Transformers) Say Something

On Amanda Witwicky's nineteenth birthday, she receives what is supposedly a very precious gift: an old car that's about as busted as a car can get.

That would be bad enough, but what really makes her furious is when her father tells her it's a Transformer.

She thinks she's being pranked, because she doesn't believe those alien creatures exist, even though her father has told her about them countless times.

But she soon comes to believe, after a few little mishaps.

What she never expected was how quickly her fate would become closely tied to these creatures.

Until they were inseparable.

Life or death, that is the question.

To forget or remember, that is the question.

To love or let go, that is the question.

Everyone faces countless choices in life. She is no exception.

1. The heroine isn't all-powerful or a Mary Sue. [You read that right: the heroine is Sam's daughter.]

2. Set against the backdrop of Transformers 3, but Jazz and the other Autobots are only badly injured, not killed. [Since Transformers 4 focused on a different family, I wanted to write the story of Sam and the others after the Battle of Chicago, only with the focus on the next generation. This story also draws on some elements from IDW, TFP, and Transformers: Armada, so it differs quite a bit from the live-action films. [The director's selective hearing really does ruin the whole series...]] This story is unrelated to Transformers 4.

3. And I won't tell you whether a human and a machine will fall in love...

4. The pairing is now set as Jazz, but I'll try to avoid confessions and things like that from fluffy, naive romances. The style will be closer to Transformers 4. Some canon characters may die, but I'll do my best to keep them in character and avoid upsetting readers.
