"Give me a cup of warmed tomato juice." Luland held out a hand to Camille. The family ring on his right index finger gleamed in the darkness.
Camille poured a large bag of blood plasma into a cup and diluted it with water. The deep-red liquid flowed like a winding serpent, slowly blooming into a radiant moon.
"Do I need to emphasize again that I asked for tomato juice?" His cool voice sounded once more.
"We have plenty of bags of plasma," Camille replied respectfully.
"I'll take that as a suggestion." Shadow covered half his face, and his golden eyes grew more profound. He stared at Camille without blinking. Camille understood that he was being warned, bowed silently, and withdrew.
Luland picked up the copy of Interview with the Vampire 400 Years at his side and gave a strange smile. "Humans really are interesting."
