The villain's schemes and shenanigans were nonstop, but Lin could put up with all that. What he couldn't accept was the way the guy cuddled his shell every night, trying to hatch him. When Lin finally decided to pack up and make a run for it, he was caught by the tail... The social phobe wept. Huo Tingyan's egg gave off a soft, pearly glow at night, so he had always thought it was at least a seventh-rank bird monster. Even if it wasn't much of a fighter, it could still serve as a mount.
