Green Robes

Green is the robe, green the coat with its yellow lining. My heart is full of sorrow: how can it ever end? Green is the robe, green the coat with its yellow skirt. My heart is full of sorrow: how can I forget it? Green are the silken threads, the work of your hands. I think of the one who came before, who kept me from doing wrong. Fine hemp and coarse hemp, stirred by the cold wind. I think of the one who came before, who truly won my heart. Theme:
