The Tang Dynasty's Beautiful Women

The Tang dynasty is prosperous, its beauties gentle.

Beneath this flourishing age, beneath the soft red veil of worldly pleasures,

how many women bloom, then silently wither,

and from then on, are remembered by no one?

[Inspired by the song of the same name. Set in the Tang dynasty, but not entirely historically accurate. History buffs and amateur archaeologists, proceed with caution.]
