Over the past couple of days, I dug this story out and reread it. The more I looked at what I'd written back then, the less I liked it, so I've decided to revise the whole thing and start posting it again, with the goal of finishing it.
As it happens, I've had some free time lately, so I've been reworking it.
A few things to mention before you read:
1. The female lead was the heroine of another story of mine. I liked her a lot back then, so I brought her over. The setup may seem a bit wish-fulfillment-ish, since I don't like shortchanging characters in their characterization. If that's not for you, click X.
2. The pairing is definitely Hisoka, but the story will mainly follow the female lead's perspective as she enters the Hunter world. There will be what people generally call a
