The Lazy Girl

I was inspired by Bai Xiaoqi's Weibo post. Her opinions were always so sensible, but it seems she was later exposed for gossiping about people [maybe?] and deleted her account. I really liked what she had to say _(:з"∠)_ The original post was about how she complained to her best friend: "Why is it so hard to find a pure country-life farming story these days? As soon as the characters make a little money, they all move to the city. Then the son studies for the imperial exams and becomes an official, or the daughter marries a high-ranking official, and before you know it, it's all palace intrigue and household drama. I just want a farming story where you can lounge on the heated bed eating baked taro on a snowy day without having to chop firewood!" Her best friend silently gave her a comforting pat and said, "That's a really tall order. You'd have better luck if the emperor disbanded his harem and devoted himself to just one woman..." So this is a farming story about a lazy girl who wants to lounge on the heated bed eating baked taro on a snowy day without having to chop firewood. Theme:
