[Seven Heroes and Five Gallants] Heavenly Strategy

A lone spear guards the soul of the Tang, and a basket of hay is all it takes to get married. Bai Xiaowei of the Tiance Prefecture always believed he would do anything for his little horse. So he came to the unfamiliar Song Dynasty and sold himself to the emperor without a second thought, in exchange for hay to feed his horse. But... what happened to the promised imperial bamboo grass?! Bai Jincheng: Zhenzhen, why can't I afford to raise a horse even with an emperor backing me? I couldn't afford it in the Tang, and now I still can't afford it in the Song. Zhao Zhen: Because I'm poor too! How about we grow it ourselves? We can set aside a plot in the imperial garden... Bai Jincheng: Actually, I think we could go mooch off a rich family. My friend Bai Yutang is loaded. Zhao Zhen: But Bai Yutang has to take care of the Imperial Cat. We'd better grow it ourselves... And so, this is the story of a penniless soldier and a dirt-poor emperor. Note: The relevant background details in this story follow the original The Seven Heroes and Five Gallants.
