The Incense-Encased Cage

The tone of this story actually came from a dream I had. Everything in it was blurry, except for the soul-soothing fragrance, which felt so vivid that I couldn't forget it for a long time. A young woman huddled in a chilly corner until warm sunlight enveloped her. She lifted her head in delighted surprise and smiled, only to realize she was standing in the middle of an ornate golden cage with no way out. A lovely fragrance, locked in a cage. This is a historical fantasy setting, not xuanhuan. It's a medium-length story with two endings and branching paths for you to choose from.
