[Ti Wushang X Wuyi Shiyin] Hometown Beneath the Bright Moon

Blurb: When I was little, my mother told me that my name meant "Moon Lake." In Xiyue, where the moon is worshipped as a deity, nearly all newborns are given the ancient word "Amor," meaning moon, as a prefix. Their suffixes, meanwhile, are determined through divination by the priestess of that generation. Moon Lake was such an ordinary, careless name compared with Dawn, Eternal Day, and Elegy. Back then, I felt a little dissatisfied, but I knew this was my fate. Fate is like an unknown river. Wherever it carries me, I will follow its course. Without hesitation, resistance, or pause. Only later did I discover that my name truly meant "Moon Tide." A name that foretold how rarely smooth my life would be: where there is light, there is darkness; where there is calm, there are turbulent waves; where there are peaks, there are valleys; where there is truth, there is illusion. There would be faint glimmers of fireflies and dark currents as smooth as a whetstone, hidden streams of fate and the dust of passing years. It wasn't a very auspicious omen, but I loved the name. It made my life winding beyond measure, yet left me with endless memories to savor. As a child, I often gazed up at the night sky and thought the moon was an incredible thing. So bright, so gentle, so graceful, so selfless. The moon was beyond the reach of human language, and whenever I tried to praise it, I found myself at a loss for words. Even more so later, when I discovered in an astronomy magazine that this wondrous presence was actually a colossal celestial body. It was battered by time, barren, and desolate. Though it was already covered in wounds, it still did everything it could to give warmth and light. Even if it was never given anything in return, it could still shine over the heavens forever, relying on nothing but itself. It crossed endless mountain ranges, traversed barren lands, flowed through turbulent streams, and brushed over boundless grasslands. Could there really be people in this world as noble and strong as the moon? I thought probably not. That must be why it could become a deity.
