Pastoral Joy, Part Five
Peach blossoms, still holding last night's rain; willows, greener beneath the morning mist.
The fallen flowers remain unswept by the servant boy; the mountain guest still sleeps as the orioles sing.
- Wang Wei
A pastoral painting in verse, a song of waterside homes, and an extraordinary love.
