[Harry Potter] A Heart of Hair

*This story is being revived from an old abandoned project. Its actual publication date is the update date of Chapter One (2022). The author's track record for finishing stories is movingly awful, but I can't promise a miracle like updating two chapters a year. Setting the record straight here (tears). Pansy rested her head on her arm, curled up on the sofa as if fast asleep. Only her half-closed eyelids occasionally flickered at the low, steady sound of reading. "...The wizard sank to his knees in triumph, clutching a heart in each hand. Then he fell upon the girl's body and died." After reading the last line of the tale, the reader slowly closed the book. His distinctively jointed fingers traced the line of gilded calligraphy, "The Tales of Beedle the Bard," before he turned and quietly gazed at the peaceful, gentle profile in the firelight. He thought that one day, perhaps, he would find a bewitched crystal casket in her possession, too. Inside it would be Pansy's hairy heart. Theme: There is no path that can make everyone happy.
