Awaiting the Karma of a Splendid Past Life

You could call it transmigration, though it's not quite the same. A tragic story, with suffering of both body and heart. This is a historical novel, but there's also a prequel, which I'll publish after finishing this one. The prequel is heartbreaking too, but with a xianxia flavor. I'm not very good at writing blurbs, so take a look if you're interested.

The first time they met was at Manxiang Tower in the City of Flowers. One was mysterious and inscrutable, the other cold and severe. Their fated destiny, a bond from a previous life.

The second time they met was in the palace of a neighboring country, at a celebration of her wedding. One played a peerless flute, the other awoke from an enchanted trance. A life that passed them by, a bond from a previous life.

The third time they met was on the battlefield of their homeland. One was gravely wounded, the other scarred to the heart. Their obsession was an impassable chasm between them.

When they meet for the last time, will they be able to be together? To hold hands and grow old together.
