Synopsis

After Ye Kai died, he closed his eyes and found himself back eighteen years in the past.

That night, Fu Hongxue was twelve, and Cui Nong had just fallen off a cliff.

Thirty-year-old Ye Kai sat on the windowsill of Fu Hongxue's room in the depths of hell and thought: Before he died, he had a wife and daughter. The only thing he couldn't let go of was that Fu Hongxue still had no one by his side. This was Heaven giving him a chance to make things right.

He stayed with the boy for twelve years, from his darkest grief until he could calmly weather every storm.

He spoiled the boy, wanting to give him everything he could.

In the end, the boy wanted him.

Simply put, after Ye Kai dies young, he returns to the past as a ghost and stays by little Fu Hongxue's side. He originally meant to raise him, but accidentally stoked the flames of desire.
