Falling in Love with a Custom-Made Smart Desktop Pet

Zhu Yuanxiao is a country bumpkin. He left his village with someone to work in the county town, and after eight years, he is still a clueless young man with no savings, friends, or partner. While everyone else is glued to their smartphones and can get online anytime with their laptops, his life consists of working at a little restaurant, then leafing through his collection of old Chinese herbal medicine books in his spare time, before heading back to his tiny room at exactly 9:30 to sleep. His life changes after he receives a used laptop, discarded by his boss's son, as a bonus for working overtime during the Lantern Festival. An ad leads him to a magical website: "Still single, lonely, and bored? Tired of your dull computer? What you need isn't some video player or desktop wallpaper collection. You need a thoughtful, customizable desktop pet! Click on Rainbow Home, and we'll tailor an intelligent desktop companion just for you, ready to meet all your needs!" And just like that, Zhu Yuanxiao is tempted: "I want a mature, steady, gentle, considerate boyfriend who'll look after me!" Actually, this is a farming story~
