Phantom Void

A subtle yet overwhelming surge of emotion. Everyone has madness, everyone has dreams, and everyone is vile and filthy, yet everyone longs for salvation. This is a longing that walks a twisted path, seeking illusory freedom and a tenderness that doesn't exist. When we stumble blindly along a dark road we mistake for one lit by hope, we should really turn back and look at what we already have. Even if it's a burden, even if it's the source of our pressure, escaping won't bring us a brighter future. It can only become a ticket to selfishness and ruin.
