I Am Lord Kyubey!

Kyuubey (Japanese: Kyubey) is a character from the Japanese anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica. It is a mysterious creature with a cute appearance that often encourages others to form a contract with it and become magical girls. When the contract is signed, it can grant the girl one wish.

Its true name is Incubator, meaning "one who incubates," and it is a product of an extraterrestrial civilization. To prevent the universe's entropy from increasing and avert the heat death of the universe, this civilization developed a technology that transforms "emotions" into "energy." However, its species has no emotions of its own, so it turned to human girls, whose feelings are the richest. It takes advantage of their hopeful hearts to harvest the immense energy produced when their hearts change from "hope" to "despair" (when they fall from being "magical girls" and become "witches").
