I've liked Fuji for many years. From the first time I watched Prince of Tennis, I wondered what kind of girl could fall in love with someone like him: so strong, yet as gentle as a spring breeze, and treasuring his family as dearly as life itself.
I once wrote a Fuji romance, too, but it took a lighthearted, comedic approach that was so different from my usual style that I have to say it didn't work very well.
This time, I'm writing a Fuji romance fanfic. Tennis may not play a very big part; I'm simply borrowing Fuji's character and writing a love story between two middle school students. I think every girl may have secretly liked a wonderful boy at school at some point. Maybe you thought you were ordinary, maybe you were timid, maybe you didn't even dare tell him. But the happiness and pain you felt are all precious memories.
