The Widow and the Brute

Everyone in the surrounding villages knew that Han Family Village had a famous beauty known as the Tofu Beauty, Guo Yueji.

Her waist was slender, her every movement alluring. One coy glance from her could steal a man's soul.

Even more tantalizing was the fact that this Tofu Beauty was a widow, with no man in the house.

Just as young men from far and wide were itching to try their luck and line up to propose, they spotted a broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted man standing in her doorway, a fearsome curved blade in his hand and a murderous look in his eyes.

“What are you staring at?”

Everyone instantly lost their nerve. “Just stopping by for a visit. We're leaving now.”

The Tofu Beauty put her hands on her hips, pulled aside the curtain, and chided him coyly. “I told you to kill a chicken. Where have you been?”

Everyone watched as the man with the fearsome face instantly changed his expression, then hurried back inside to answer her.

Seeing everyone gaping, the man turned around and snarled, “Is my wife here for you to look at? Get out of here, now!”
