A Nonsensical Poem? Ode to the King
A nonsensical world, a nonsensical king; in the midst of nonsensical deeds, he sighs at the nonsense.
One day a phoenix perches in the parasol tree. The nonsense vanishes, and only the king remains.
He is a reckless emperor who has no desire to be a wise ruler, yet by chance he meets a lowly palace maid who has no desire to become a consort.
He pacifies the court and rules the harem. Thus, a grand age of prosperity begins to unfold to music.
