Thorn Blossom

This is the story of the son of the alliance leader and Young Master Ning from the Jade Pendant arc. The male lead is handsome, frail, and possessive; the female lead is cold on the outside and warm within. He takes what he wants by force. He steals the one someone loves. He ruins other people's happiness. He clearly loves her, and clearly devotes all his tenderness to making her happy. Yet he is willing to let her hate him. Even if he could live it all again and choose once more, he would still be willing to trade his sick and battered body for a single tear from her. He knows he will pay the price for his consuming obsession with obtaining something that was never his to have. That price is like a hungry child who has tasted what it is to be full and can no longer bear hunger. Once you have grasped warmth, you become afraid to let go. It is almost like the pain of being alive, equivalent to death. In truth, he has never been loved. Never been loved, so he cannot love. Perhaps he will never be loved, either.
