Han Wenqing suddenly came to a realization.
Ye Xiu was a veteran just like the rest of them. They had fought on this battlefield for so long that their brilliance had faded. Although he hadn't retired early like Sun Zheping, left with only regrets, he was no longer at the peak of his prime. The difference was that Ye Xiu had carried every burden alone and started over from scratch, all to prove that Glory could never be defeated. Ye Xiu was like a cigarette butt quietly burning in the dark. Others could see its faint spark, but had no idea how much of it was left.
