The Survival and Death of Carbon-Based Monkeys

[15.5.30 The story has become a mess. In fact, there was barely any content even before the major revision, and after all the cutting and rewriting, there’s even less to recommend... Maybe someday I’ll rewrite it from Chapter One, but for now, I can probably only do my best to make the story after Chapter Eighty work. I hope those of you who force yourselves to read past Chapter Eighty feel that your MONEY was at least worth it. The author’s despairing groan.] The story begins with a disaster. Jeloviet, warden of the Fourth Prison Star System of the Cicelius Interstellar Alliance, which spans 453 star systems, encounters a black hole while being transferred and accidentally lands in the body of a carbon-based monkey. In the words of the carbon-based monkey, this is called transmigration. This is a story... you will absolutely regret reading. Important notice: After a major rewrite, the setting has been moved to the United States. The main events have not changed, so longtime readers can skip straight to Chapter 90. Starting from Chapter 90, there are about ten chapters of bonus updates, with more words than the actual chapter length, so please try to buy the anti-piracy version of that chapter! No CP, slow-paced. Alien sci-fi tropes. Calling him a carbon-based monkey is a tribute to Fugitive Report.
