(Gintama) An Incomplete Memoir

The story of Lin Nai, an auntie who has to give up running her izakaya and turn to writing her memoirs to make ends meet. She starts reminiscing from her days at a private school, or perhaps even earlier. There are childhood friends whose stories she has embellished with rosy hues, though in truth they are only a murky black. And there are countless “Little Red A”s and “Little Red B”s, names she cannot remember and has simply made up. Lin Nai says that as long as it pays the bills, she could even write a book about the untold stories of her childhood friends, for late-night broadcast. Lin Nai: Ah, is there really not a single childhood friend I can rely on, even now? Wig: Every cent I earn goes to the cause, I mean, to overthrowing the shogunate! Gintoki: Your pal Gin still owes rent. Go ask that Takasugi guy. He was a rich young master even as a kid. Takasugi: Heh. Theme: Treasure life and reflect on yourself at all times.
