Never Forget Your Original Intention

"I never knew that liking someone could make me feel so insignificant. The bone-deep longing and pain are mine alone, so why do I still accept them so willingly? -- Ji Xueling"

"I knew it was an accident, but selfishly, I thought it brought me one step closer to you. That sweet, joyful, panicked feeling... Was it a blessing or a curse? -- Ji Xueling"

"Your hands clamped hard around my throat. My burning skin could feel your cold cruelty as you said you wished you could kill me. In the end, you really did hate me. -- Ji Xueling"

"Gu Xiuyi, I repaid what I owed you with a life, and with that same life, I repaid the love I had for you. At last, I let you go, and let myself go, too. You said your greatest regret was letting me have that child. Only now do I understand that my greatest regret was falling in love with you. -- Ji Xueling"

"Ji Xueling, you know what I regret most, but you don't know that what I regret most of all is letting your love for me become a thing of the past. -- Gu Xiuyi"
