She was never meant to exist in this world, but through a twist of fate, she lived for a hundred years.
She forgot her past because those memories held too much pain.
In the final turn of fate, she finally heard from his lips the answer she had long hoped for.
She smiled through flowerlike tears, never speaking of farewell.
A few words before you begin:
1. This is a complete rewrite of Shattered, a Softly Sung Lament. The heroine's name in that story was so painfully awkward, and the later plot became seriously jarring. The early plot won't change much, but to avoid spoilers, don't go looking up that story. I started writing it in 2010.
2. The main pairing is Byakuya and her, with Gin and Kiku as a secondary pairing, Ichigo and Rukia, and a little Byakuya and Hisana.
3. Since this is a complete rewrite, the ending is still a BE.
4. I came up with the premise quite a while ago, so some parts may differ from the canon established in chapter 98. For example, back then Isshin Kurosaki was the captain of the Tenth Division, and I never imagined that this plot development would happen.
