As I Have Heard

Peace across the land was his ideal; A posthumous reputation for infamy was his life. The capital was filled with the mansions of the nobility. This was the world he ruled. Alone and worn with sorrow, he spent his final years clinging to life. He was of noble birth, the legitimate son of the Empress, and was named Crown Prince shortly after he was born. Unfortunately, calling his mother the Empress meant that she was no longer alive. His father had no shortage of legitimate sons, for the mother of the eldest prince was his imperial father's second empress. In short, in a certain sense, the eldest prince could also be called the eldest legitimate son. The second empress bore not only the eldest prince, but also the seventh prince, the eleventh prince, and the sixth princess. His imperial father's third empress bore the third prince and the fifth princess. His fourth empress bore the fifth prince and the eleventh princess. His imperial father had thirty-nine sons and thirty-one daughters, including six legitimate sons and three legitimate daughters. As a Crown Prince whose birth mother had died young, his position was always somewhat awkward. I finally can't keep writing this. It feels so far-fetched. Updates will be sporadic from now on. Theme:
