The Old Man and the Dog

His home held only him and his wolfdog. This is a true story about a drifter and his wolfdog, who depended on each other to survive. He begged for food and scavenged through trash, but never once let the dog go hungry. Then, after an accident landed him in custody, the dog waited outside the police station, refusing to eat or drink until he came out. The old man was one of the world's outcasts. He had no home, no family, and no job. But when I heard him tell the dog they were going home, I realized that, in a way, he did have a home. Theme:
