A century from now, supernatural powers have become widespread around the globe. Many cities have rapidly risen to prominence through their development and cultivation of such powers. These cities are known as superpower cities. Each is governed by a council and generally divided into several districts: the [Academy District], which teaches supernatural powers and ordinary skills; the [Technology District], where all kinds of research is conducted; the [Nature District], with livestock farms, crops, and numerous parks; the [Abandoned District], long deserted and bordering the Academy District; and the [Ordinary District], much like any other city, with plenty of shopping streets, small businesses, and regular homes.
Five years ago, the council summoned the city's superpowered residents and tested them, selecting the seven most exceptional. Those seven were assigned to various fields to assist the council within certain limits. To ensure the city's Top Seven remained at the pinnacle of their strength, the [Challenge] system was introduced. With a judge as witness, anyone who could defeat one of the Top Seven could take their place. Since the council never revealed the Top Seven's identities, only their titles, anyone seeking to challenge them had to find each person by their title before they could fight.
Five years later, the council had never announced any changes to the list of the Top Seven, and no one had ever won a [Challenge]. The seven had thus become godlike figures in the city.
Each of the Top Seven had their own views and took their own actions regarding the [Challenge] system. Everyone followed the path they believed was right, growing ever more distant from one another.
Suddenly I realized that this article is not bad after all. There should be hope for a change!
