Empire

There have been empresses since ancient times. There can be no doubt about that. If I hear anyone claim that the Crown Prince cannot be a woman, I can only say that such an idea is utterly absurd. Though the truth must remain hidden from outsiders, I am indeed a woman. Surrounded by trusted allies on every side, I advance step by step along the path to becoming a wise ruler. Before the wine, I thought to speak of the day I'd return. But before I could say a word, my springtime face was already choked with sorrow. In life, we are all bound by love; this grief has nothing to do with the wind or the moon. Let us not compose a new farewell song. Just one tune can knot the heart with pain. I must see every flower in Luoyang before we can part with ease when spring comes.
