...You and Me, Marked by Love

“Life is like endlessly repeating the same thing. Living over and over in a place you can't bring yourself to like, facing a group of people you can't bring yourself to like, trapped in a body that grows steadily older and that you can't bring yourself to like, doing things you have never been able to like, and living out a numb, unfeeling life you can't bring yourself to like.” After coming of age, Mizuki Kiyonobu (Mizuki) leaves Japan for America to become an au pair for the Spencer family. Bored with life and finding no joy in it, Mizuki meets Jeremy amid the chaos, a rebellious boy who, like Mizuki, has no hope or fear left for life. At the same time, Matthew, the Spencer family's third son, meets Candice, a girl who works at a tattoo shop, through Mizuki. He then meets the girl who will change his entire life: Erica (Erika Higashihara). Compared with a life spent alone, putting your whole heart into loving someone... seems to bring more beautiful colors and moments to a life otherwise devoid of joy. Those moments have me, have you, have both of us. One scene after another, frozen in time and tinted with love, flashes by in an instant, each one a picture. This world... may be awful. But because of you, my life has been beautiful. You made a life more awful than this world beautiful. That is why I love you with all my heart, no matter what. P.S. The title and all the chapters have been reformatted and revised, so I'll be reposting them one chapter at a time. Theme:
