The three couples in this story are set and won't change. Expect melodrama, fun, cuteness, a little angst, and an unexpected ending.
In response to some readers' concerns, let me explain a few things:
1. These characters really existed in their fictional world even without Lin Xiang. Their relationships became tangled because of the irresponsible author's character settings. Rather than saying Zhong Chenglin loves Lin Yu, it's more accurate to say he was made to love Lin Yu. He was drawn to Lin Xiang while spending time with him because his original personality hadn't disappeared, and Lin Xiang's locking and deleting the story gradually awakened it.
2. As for the protagonist, he's an orphan. If people from a fictional world suddenly appeared in his real life, of course he'd feel some resistance. Wouldn't it be strange if he simply accepted them without a second thought? The first five chapters are just an adjustment period. Starting in Chapter 6, he tries to accept Lin Yu and does quite a bit for him.
3. As I said in the first point, Lin Xiang locking the story causes many characters' personalities to change. Their earlier personalities don't tell the whole story, so you'll find that many of them become different later on.
4. Some things in this story are very realistic. For example, Lin Xiang just wants someone to share his life with. I think anyone who gets older without finding a partner might feel that way. After all, don't people who meet through matchmaking start out as strangers and try to fall in love? Sometimes love can grow over time. Once two people in love live together, they're like family, learning to accommodate each other.
