Sometimes, I think women are pitiful. Pitiful when they love, and pitiful when they don't; pitiful when they have something, and pitiful when they lose it. A woman's heart is too small, while a man's is too big. That's the root of tragedy. Sometimes, I think men are pitiful too. Love isn't everything, and neither is loss, yet either one can change every part of their lives. They have to juggle their personal and public lives, and there's always something to gain and something to lose. This is a story about a man and a woman drawing closer to each other and finding warmth together. Simple warmth, simple love. Maybe that's just life.
