(Snake Kabuto) The Search

Life is a process of searching.

Searching for your true self, the things you want, the person you long for... and the presence that can fill the emptiness inside.

Some people bustle around without direction, never knowing what they were searching for even at the end. Some find what they want without realizing it, thinking something else would be better, so they give it up and never get it back. Others, by sheer coincidence, pass right by the person who is closest to them and suits them best.

In this stark, cold, and brutally frank world of ninjas, he too has always been searching for the truth.

Who am I? What do I want? What can fill the emptiness in my heart?

If I collect all the intelligence in the world, perhaps I'll find out. And if I'm still not satisfied, then I'll go look for something new.

Only at the very end does he understand that what he was searching for had always been by his side, within reach.
