Military Crossover: The Search

Lately I've been enjoying military TV dramas, from the somewhat funny and humorous I Am a Special Forces Soldier 2 to the previously uninteresting Soldiers Sortie, which I'd only seen in clips but now absolutely love. I'm currently watching I Am a Special Forces Soldier 1.

Soldiers Sortie is still my favorite. If I hadn't watched Special Forces 2 first and enjoyed the funny, buddy-like bond between Li Erniu, Wang Yanbing, and the male lead, I wouldn't have watched Soldiers Sortie just to compare them. After that, I became completely hooked and watched it over and over. I finally figured out why Special Forces 2 always felt a little off: romance suddenly showed up in the middle of their comradeship. It's not that romance is bad, but it made things feel rather melodramatic, at least where the male and female leads were concerned. I actually like Erniu and Cuifen together. Their relationship is solid, unlike the leads' ridiculous love triangle, or even quadrangle. I kept wishing the heroine would die and that the whole cast would be men. For Cuifen's sake, I'd rather leave her with her chairman.

So in this story, I don't know if the main characters will fall in love. I mainly want to watch or take part in the soldiers' comradeship. If romance develops someday, it won't be that melodramatic.

The so-called search is just about finding the things lost in the big city... (You can figure out what I mean yourselves: warmth, kindness, self-respect, and so on.)

Also, I can't promise this story won't be abandoned. Let's see how long I can keep writing before I get sick of it.
