This is a healing fanfic inspired by the serious emotional trauma caused by the finale of the British TV series Merlin. It focuses on Arthur and Merlin as a couple. The historical setting is the Heptarchy, the period when Christianity was spreading throughout Britain, roughly a hundred years after King Arthur's death.
The story shifts the era of the historical figures Tristan and Isolde to a later date, and invents the identity of the King of Kent's second queen.
The characters stay true to the original series, with a romantic undertone. It ends happily, while keeping the tone of the original drama.
