Marin was born in Meteor City. Her childhood memories were a blur. She only remembered that a boy had once given her a black cat plushie. That plushie kept her company through the eight years she spent alone.

Eight years later, at sixteen, she returned to Kukuroo Mountain and became a trainee butler for the Zoldyck Family.

The story begins five years before the events of Hunter x Hunter. At this point, Illumi is 19, Hisoka is 22, Marin is 16, Meilin is 20, and Canary is 7 (the same age as Killua). The story connects to the events of Hunter x Hunter, and the protagonist is an original character. This is absolutely not a Mary Sue story. If you start to think it is, please trust me: it absolutely isn't.
