It also happens to indulge someone's strange interests in all sorts of things, especially food, and has one other purpose: researching traditional crafts? The author is very keen on establishing the setting before the story gets going, so a lot of the early chapters deal with the social and everyday-life background. The fun and the little bottom's dazzling life of tormenting the top only gradually begin once the society has been fully established, so readers, please be patient. This is a one-on-one romance. The mini-scenes are just the author's jokes. It's an extremely slow burn, and the top spends more than half his time doing nothing of importance. A lot of the time, the bottom is the only one trying to make a life for himself, and he's even tougher than the top. So readers who dislike slow burns or are devoted to the top, please think carefully before jumping in...
