Deep Love in the Forbidden City

Amid the mist and rain of this mortal world, why did I have to meet you?

Among this endless sea of people, why did I have to fall in love with you?

There is no escape, nowhere to hide. Everything is ordained; everything is fate. I only hope that even when I fall and am ground into the dust, my fragrance will remain as it was.

This is a sweet, heartwarming love story about Empress Xiaoyiren and Kangxi. Power struggles and palace intrigue are not the focus. I only want to tell the story in my heart.
