This story was always destined to be an unfinished mess. All the mysteries will be explained in the author's shameless, irregular bonus chapters. As for the original ideas about traveling back ten years, let's forget those. Baxian is pregnant, so let's let the Black Sun Battle, the Ring Battle, and the Ten Years Later arc all fade into obscurity!
A pregnant woman should just stay home and get ready to give birth.
Mm.
I was still agonizing over whether Baxian, traveling from ten years in the future to ten years in the past and having a baby, would count as having the baby before or after the time jump. Now it seems that was all just a passing cloud.
I'm truly sorry that this story ended without ever developing an affair between the male and female leads.
The truth is, Byakuran has always loved the Baxian he met on the leaning tower, arms spread as she let the wind blow over her, the one who made him want to destroy her.
Whether he loves Liu Liang is something I never planned to reveal, even by the ending.
After all, I don't think Byakuran could bear to accept that someone he had subconsciously loved for years had suddenly become a stranger inhabiting a different soul. The idea of just loving someone as long as the body was still there is something I find intolerable.
I already thought it would be difficult for Byakuran to love anyone. But this story's premise was that he loved Baxian from the very beginning. Abandoning her was just a pretense. He simply didn't want anyone to hold him back. He wanted to sever their ties, but who can say how feelings work? No matter how awful Byakuran may be, I firmly believe he would never bring himself to hurt someone he loved. That's the Byakuran I adore.
At first, Liu Liang thought he had abandoned her because she had betrayed him, but that wasn't the case at all. At least, as far as Baxian, also known as Roronoa, was concerned, there had been no betrayal whatsoever.
Anyway, this story is a slow burn, so let's save the heat for our fantasies.
As for anyone who wants to yell at me for being a quitter, all I can say is: doesn't it feel great to read without paying?
Reading several great stories with terrible endings made me think I might as well give mine a terrible ending too. ← That's the direct reason I finished this story.
Finally, please support my new story: [K] My Mission: Protect My Gay Best Friend. ← Okay, actually, this is the real reason I finished this story.
Please note:
◇ This story was inspired by the author's fantasies after seeing Byakuran's physique.
◇ Firmly committed to one-on-one romance, and it seems to have a happy ending.
◇ There are plenty of cliché, fluffy scenes. Please bring your own caution signs when reading. If you really can't stand it, click the red X in the upper-right corner. The author has a fragile heart and can't take it.
◇ I welcome everyone's opinions ▼.▼
