Empresses in the Palace: The Daughter of the Murong Clan

Reborn, Zhu Yixiu abandoned the Zhu family before they, Xuan Ling, and the Empress Dowager could abandon her. Even if it meant spending the rest of her life in a remote temple, keeping vigil by the Buddha, she would never return to that golden cage. But fate had other plans: she became an adopted daughter of the Murong family, was escorted into the palace with half the ceremonial guard of an empress, and once again became Consort Xian. To the Zhu family, to her father, to her stepmother: Since you don't cherish me, Zhu Yixiu, I'll cherish myself! If your precious daughter wants to enter the palace and become empress, then let her. But don't expect me to pave the way for her anymore! To the Empress Dowager: Since A Rou is so wonderful, why not welcome her into the palace? Why settle for me as your second choice? To Xuan Ling: Wanwan is so wonderful. Why make things difficult, Your Majesty? There is no longer any obstacle named Zhu Yixiu in the palace. May Your Majesty and the Empress love each other for a lifetime [and grow old together]. To Zhu Rouze: Sister, my dear sister. This time, without me to manage the palace affairs for you and keep the other consorts in check, let's see whether you can truly remain untouched by worldly concerns and stand aloof from the crowd, forever the spotless, lotus-like [Wanwan] in [Fourth Prince's] heart. To Murong Shilan: I bear much of the blame for your tragedy in our past life. We were both pawns in the emperor's hand. Now that you call me Sister with such genuine affection, I will be a good big sister. I'll find you the perfect husband, so you won't have to wait from dusk till dawn anymore. Instead, the two of you will be together every day, never leaving each other's side.
