Scheming in the Dream of the Red Chamber

Jia Baoyu is such a jerk, Bao-chai is really scheming, Lin Daiyu has it so rough, and only Wang Xifeng is true love, though her ending is a little tragic. What can you do? I'll just have to write fanfiction and take the flak! The author pats themself on the head and goes with the flow: apparently, we need a good man in the story to turn the tide? And so, someone transmigrates. Jia Lian: Uh... has anyone asked what I think? Author: Smiles silently. Every story needs a true sacrificial male lead to clean up the mess.
