I Once Loved You

I once loved you:

Perhaps love

has not yet completely faded from my heart,

but I hope it will no longer trouble you,

and I do not wish to cause you sorrow or pain.

I once loved you silently, without hope,

enduring both shyness and the torment of jealousy.

I once loved you so sincerely, so tenderly.
