[Reborn!] The Road to Doomsday Amid a Hundred Ghosts

We can only encounter each other, rather than stay together.

Then I wish we had never met.

Perhaps we are parallel lines, reaching toward the same dream, stretching as far as we can without ever meeting.

Perhaps we are like a dream from another life, unable to feel each other's warmth or see each other's light.

We blink, and miss the vast changes in each other's lives.

I'm a passing cloud you never noticed;

You're a futile lament I should never have reached for;

You follow your own path. I'm only fireworks burning across the shore for you...

You said that when the sun was shining, you'd wait for me by the shore, gazing at the clear lake and remembering.

I lifted my head from the lake and looked into your eyes. They were clear, but with a hint of sadness. Then I said softly, "Really?"

Parallel lines reaching toward the same dream, heading in the same direction: how could they ever intersect? Fireworks across the shore have no one to admire them; their beauty lasts only an instant. In truth, everything in this complicated world is just a fleeting cloud...

You are someone who came and went as you pleased. Whether you were attached to humanity or still clinging to an unfinished obsession, even a single encounter, no matter how imperceptible to others, can be a precious meeting that sustains the heart...

The flowers bloom along the road. You can take your time coming home.
