In memory of the eternal Alan Rickman. May death not be the end, but the beginning of another adventure.
If not for that bleak, rain-lashed day in November, my future might have been very different. I am Lilium Jane Eyre. Fate likes to play tricks on me. To a lonely orphan with no one to rely on, a lily blooming in summer is a bittersweet mockery. But no hardship can stop me from pursuing my dreams and the one I love.
Please note that this is a slow-burn story, conceived in three main stages. The first is childhood, when the heroine and the professor are no more than somewhat distant friends. The second spans adolescence and young adulthood. Only in the final stage do we reach the professor era we know so well. The characters will transform as time passes. I hope you will be patient and stay with me as I tell the story of the professor I've always wanted to write.
