Character setup:
Dominant older top x innocent rich-boy bottom. Gao Kai x Lu Yao
Tags: Old-school melodrama, age-gap romance, angst, scum top, masochistic bottom
Rich kid Lu Yao has always had a crush (and has never hidden it) on Gao Kai, who is ten years older than him. He's even willing to become Gao Kai's fuck buddy.
When the rich kid suddenly becomes an ordinary person with nothing to his name overnight, Gao Kai turns out to be his only support. But Lu Yao discovers that many things Gao Kai has kept from him suggest that he has other motives. The relationship Lu Yao once hoped for was nothing but wishful thinking. Still, that isn't enough to make Lu Yao give up hope.
Angst and melodrama, with a domineering older top and an innocent bottom.
Warnings:
Scum top and masochistic bottom. If that bothers you, please stay away. Soft-hearted readers, beware: there's lots of angst, mostly for the bottom. The top does suffer too, though some readers may not think it's enough. Consider this your warning: if you can't handle it, don't read.
In short:
This is a story about a bottom who loses everything!

[Pure-Hearted, Naturally Adorable, Seductive Bottom] VS [Wife-Doting CEO Top]
Qin Yi has had a crush on a straight guy for three years. After the guy gets a boyfriend in college, Qin Yi goes out and finds a man that very day to lose his virginity.
The domineering CEO Zhang Jilou hands Qin Yi a stack of his medical examination reports.
Zhang Jilou: "I'll take responsibility."
Qin Yi: "I'm in love with a straight guy."
Zhang Jilou (confidently): "I'll make you forget him."
After they start dating:
Qin Yi eats a banana Zhang Jilou bought to feed the elephants.
Little boy: "Hahaha, Mom, look at that older boy! He's fighting an elephant for a banana!"
Qin Yi: "..." (angry JPG)
Zhang Jilou (patting his head): "Go ahead and eat. I bought it for you. The elephant can have whatever you don't finish." (trying not to laugh JPG)
Qin Yi: "Here's a flamingo keychain for you."
Zhang Jilou immediately pulls out his car keys, attaches the keychain, and grins as he waves them in front of Qin Yi.
Female shop assistant: "They're both so handsome! That top even drives a Mercedes!"
Male shop assistant: "Showing off your car keys like that? Isn't that kind of lame?"
Zhang Jilou: "..."
Qin Yi (patting his shoulder): "It's fine. I don't think you're lame." (trying not to laugh JPG)
Their relationship is all about making each other feel appreciated!
Qin Yi is baffled: What do I do when the CEO is exactly my type?
Zhang Jilou: Obviously, enjoy it.
And so Qin Yi falls for him.
He forgets the straight guy he used to love, but seems to have fallen into a deep pit he can't climb out of.
It turns out that all the good things about him are the result of someone else's training. He unknowingly claimed someone else's victory as his own.
Warnings:
Both the top and bottom have had ambiguous relationships, but neither has a romantic history. Expect lots of teasing and tension.
One-on-one pairing later, happy ending.
There is a side couple: tsundere queen bottom x devoted puppy top.
The author is a country bumpkin! The author is a country bumpkin! The author is a country bumpkin! Old-school writing style, limited writing skills. Please don't compare the story to real life, and don't assume it's based on anyone you know! Thank you!

[Double Reincarnation, Both Pure, Devoted Love, Complete]
Synopsis:
Yi Xiu's peaceful life begins to change the moment he meets the Taoist Zhang Xuanli.
Zhang Xuanli starts by persuading Yi Xiu to return to his village and become its head. Then he volunteers to move into Yi Xiu's home and serve as his personal bodyguard.
Before long, he climbs into Yi Xiu's bed.
Zhang Xuanli's goal is Yi Xiu himself.
A beautiful bottom practically throws himself at him, and Yi Xiu thinks he's hit the jackpot.
As strange people and events start appearing around them, Yi Xiu's memories gradually return.
It turns out everything is part of a scheme spanning five hundred years, all to break free of their shackles and finally get what they want.
Yi Xiu: "When are you coming to help drive out the ghosts?"
Zhang Xuanli: "Let me live at your place, and I can protect you personally."
Yi Xiu: "Then I'll sleep on the floor."
Zhang Xuanli: "Isn't the bed big enough? We're both men. What's there to worry about?"
Yi Xiu breaks out in a cold sweat: But I have a guilty conscience!
Yi Xiu dreams every night, and every dream is too indecent to describe. Can someone tell me why?
Zhang Xuanli: "Because I was your crush in your past life, and I put you through physical and emotional torment."
POV: Primarily from the top's perspective, with a double-helix narrative.
Content warning: The top changes appearance, but the top doesn't change.
The top is invincible and immortal.
Theme:
Why doesn't the author clearly write about Gong's feelings for his brother? Because the author just can't deny that Gong is in love with his brother.
Since it was a transaction, why didn't you tell me about it? It would make people think that you actually like your brother, and then you made up a plot about the transaction.
This is my first comment. It's just my personal opinion. If you don't like it, don't comment. I am not an only child and have a younger sister in my family, so I understand the feelings between Lu Yao and Lu Li very well, especially Lu Yao's feelings of love and alienation. He is a bit similar to me, so this is where I can empathize more with him. He has lacked love since he was a child and wants his father's love and recognition. This recognition is not based on merit but a father's recognition of his children, and my brother has indeed received his father's love completely. He was alienated from his brother because of this, but he also loved his brother and father because of his blood connection. Let me talk about it later. Some people think that Lu Yao is hypocritical because his brother and Gao Kai quarreled. Maybe because he lacked love since childhood, but I feel very happy. When someone who has hurt you falls in love with you, the wound is irreversible for anyone, but I am still too mean to let him go. So the best way is to be with him, but we can't be together in peace because there is always a hurt between us. So I would often talk about my injuries, and I enjoyed even more the fact that he paid careful attention to my emotions every day, living a life of walking a tightrope. I also believed in his care that he still liked me. They won't break up but will "torture each other" for a lifetime. It's very vicious, but there's nothing I can do about it. It may have been like this since I was a child, so I can't change it and live like this. So I felt better when I saw Lu Yao and Gao Kai quarreling over Lu Li again and again. Now that everyone is wondering whether Gao Kai loves Lu Li, I will deceive myself. He doesn't love Lu Li. Otherwise, Lu Yao, who is very similar to me, and I, who get a lot of pleasure from it, would be too pathetic.
It's actually a bit sad when I actually watch it. It feels like from Lu Yao's perspective, Gong customized a ring for Lu Li, proposed to Lu Li under grand fireworks, and kissed him tenderly. Although Gong kept explaining that he didn't fall in love with Lu Li, at that moment it felt like they were a very loving couple, and Lu Li's last words made people think that Lu Li was really attracted to them. So without any explanation, I feel that I have been in love with Gong, separated by the fireworks, the ring, and the kiss, and I feel a sense of guilt for being sorry for my brother.
This novel has always been a problem for me qwq... In fact, I have always wanted to see the ending of Lu Li's survival after Lu Yao's suicide, neither with Gao nor with Zhao, and Gao being alone all his life...
This scumbag makes me so frustrated. This brother is not a good guy either.
Maybe for personal reasons, I prefer separation in my heart. Lu Yao is indeed suitable for something better and simpler.
The author may have been too hasty to end it. After watching the second half of the plot and Lu Yao's suicide, and understanding everything, his changed attitude felt like it could be written as be. Even if he, the protagonist should at least explain everything that needs to be explained clearly, otherwise conflicts can break out at any time. I don't believe that after so much, Lu Yao can get back together just because he said "I love you" but didn't explain anything clearly.
In fact, I'm quite embarrassed. I first read the spoilers and extras in the comments, and then watched my brother's extras. I still feel like I want to beat him to death, but it's just a deal with my brother. Why didn't he ever say anything?
Everyone around Gao was wondering what Lu Yao was doing. How could Gao have seen it before, right? After all the hard work, you are a little obsessed with Lu Yao, so you won't let Lu Yao eat together with the person who insulted Lu Yao at the Sichuan restaurant, right? If Gao wants to love, Lu Yao must love her, right? It's just that Lu Yao still has a high heart, otherwise everyone would be happy. The high discomfort was unbearable for one night, so what about Lu Yao's previous embarrassment?
