Transmigrating as Huazheng

I got the inspiration for this short story from thaty's The Condor Heroes: A Bow to the Empire. In thaty's story, the male lead transmigrates as a Jin person. So what if someone transmigrated directly as a Mongol, yet wanted to protect the Song Dynasty, or more precisely, preserve its civilization? What should she or he do?
