EXO: MAMA

For the first time, I understood what it meant to fall for someone at first sight. It was an ordinary Saturday night, but unlike all the nights before, that night we were swept up in a frenzy. We, three college students who were somewhat coldhearted and almost heartless, three girls who had practically no contact with boys, were somehow swept up in a frenzy over six people we had never even met. Later, I learned that countless others had been swept up in it too, and that I was utterly insignificant among them. Compared with those girls, I wouldn't dare say that I loved them. They were a cool prince, a dancing prodigy, a cute little charmer, a mischievous imp, a powerhouse vocalist, and a gentle, handsome man. The six of them, as one, burst into my life like visitors from another world. The more I learned about them, the more I felt that no four-character idiom could describe their charm. There were twelve of them. The phrase I heard them say most often was, "We are one!" EXO-M and EXO-K, all twelve of them together, were one complete group. I wanted so badly to do something for them. I knew I was obsessed. If I didn't do something, I would eventually explode. So one day, I began writing a novel. I don't know how much I can accomplish; I just hope that even one more person can get to know them. That's all I can do. But I still worry that what I do might cause them trouble. I beg you, I sincerely beg you: dear readers, I don't expect you to fall in love with them. I only hope you won't hurt them. I may be detestable, but if you dislike this, please hate only me.
