Qing Ling, a thousand-year-old fox spirit, accepts a trial in order to become immortal and goes to a brothel, where she must absorb the essence and blood of a thousand men. There she meets Yuan Jun, the madam's son, and encounters Huo Qingfeng, the young general of the powerful Huo family, whose influence reigns over the capital.
